Dear Valued SABIC Contractor, SABIC service contractors are part of our team, and their health, safety and security are equally important as that of direct hire employees. Therefore, it is essential that contractors perform their work in a manner consistent and compatible with SABIC’s policies and business objectives. The Contractor Management System (CMS) Project was launched in December 2011 to review, unify and develop a consistent contractor management system that governs evaluation, selection, hiring, management and performance evaluation based on SABIC best practices. Contractors will be fully prepared to perform their work in an Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) responsible manner, from the registration stage, to mobilization, execution and evacuation from the end-user facility. Areas where weaknesses and gaps are identified and bridged with clear possible solutions in an objective manner, and setting the goals towards continuous improvement. At this stage, the project team had completed pilot phase in four different affiliates (SHARQ, HADEED, SAFCO, and IBN RUSHD) including their respective Shared service functions and contractors. All inputs received during the piloting were addressed and reflected in the final system design and work process. On 4th of May 2014, CMS rollout will begin in parallel for All SABIC KSA affiliates and functions through a well-developed MOC process to ensure appropriate engagement levels of all parties for effective implementation. We would like to welcome you in this project and join us in our journey to achieve our goals.
